| Import protection for the potato industry decreased The previous safeguard of 40,92%, protecting the potato industry from imports, expired on 4 July 2015. The safeguard lowered to 20,45% and the latter will be valid until 4 June 2016. The lower safeguard may allow for increased imports thereby possibly increasing domestic supplies. |
