Within the short space of three years, Agri’s got Talent (AGT) has developed into the biggest song contest within the South African agricultural arena – but the organisers of the project still look to grow. “Our vision is to grow this project into a national competition with the aim to create opportunities and uplift all agricultural workers,” says Anton Rabe, HORTGRO executive director and AGT founder.

“Music cannot be fenced in and speaks to everyone. It is the perfect platform to unite the broad spectrum of people in agriculture. Within a short time, Agri’s got Talent has developed a proud tradition with a character of excellence and we are fortunate to be associated with it.”

The contest which is presented by HORTGRO, the VinPro Foundation and the Western Cape Department of Agriculture, gives agricultural workers with musical talent the opportunity to rise above their everyday work.
